Helium Class
Assessment
Robots
Our Helium Class sidewalk assessment robots complete large-scale sidewalk evaluations with quick, accurate data collection.
Precision Measurement Suite
Built for compliance work.

Dynamic Inclinometer:
Lab-Calibrated CTi TILT-57A inclinometer captures running and cross-slope measurements.
RTK GPS:
RTK GPS augmented with internal tread-based system geolocates every defect with centimeter-accurate certainty.
Triple Laser System:
Synchronized Keyence IL-300 lasers scan for surface irregularities, cracks, and vertical uplifts.
Top-Quality accuracy at street speed
Large-scale manual sidewalk evaluations are slow, inconsistent, and provide sparse data sets. Helium Class Assessment Robots collect continuous, highly detailed data on every segment they cover while moving up to 3 times faster than traditional methods.

High-grade 3D mapping
Most assessments stop with basic data collection. Helium Class Assessment Robots go further with a stereo-based 3D mesh output built for engineering analysis and compliance verification, not just for checking boxes.
Stereo Vision: Synchronized dual-camera capture paired with WAFT-stereo neural networks estimates metric depth for every pixel in the scene.
Continuous Surface Mesh: Generates a high-resolution 3D mesh instead of a sparse point cloud, enabling precise geometric analysis of complex structures.
Pose Refinement: Iterative closest point algorithms correct for robot movement in transit, keeping models level and dimensionally accurate.

Autonomous where it counts
Our Helium Class Assessment Robots navigate pathway networks using environmentally aware localization. They’re engineered to be genuinely usable around the public: yielding to pedestrians and holding a walking-pace cruising speed, so they can operate in active corridors without becoming obstacles themselves.

Lower Cost:
Saves money compared to standard manual assessments.

Fast:
3x faster data collection than standard manual assessment methods.

Defensible accuracy:
Engineering-grade instruments provide a source of truth for compliance and capital improvement planning.

Privacy-first by design:
Collects engineering data only; does not store personal information or private property imagery.
