Automated Pathway Assessments
Dax robots are gathering accessibility data on 109 miles of sidewalk within the City of South San Francisco on behalf of the City of South San Francisco and Bureau Veritas. Working with Bureau Veritas, we’ll use the measurements we collect to create a map of sidewalk conditions to help keep pedestrian pathways within South San Francisco accessible and safe.
When a bot finishes its assessment area, it will go into an idle mode to upload data or wait for its next task. This is normal and does not mean there's anything wrong with the bot.
If you encounter a Dax, Daxbot asks you show the same courtesy you would give to any road maintenance worker.
