In April of 2018 KATU News did a tech special on Dax delivery robots on News at 11:00 A.M. Focusing on interviews with the Dax’s fellow pedestrian traffic, delivery recipients, and the people of Philomath KATU followed Dax around the city and covered this early version of Dax doing our initial delivery runs in Philomath.

One of the focuses of this special is the reactions that children have to Dax, which are generally speaking very positive.

They also focused on some of the other possible applications for an urban robot like Dax-- including delivering pharmaceuticals, picking up garbage, mapping cities to help them local changes needed to make their streets ADA compliant, and school security. Any job that is dangerous for humans, or too repetitive for them to enjoy is a great fit for Dax.
